Great Portable Satellite |
|
I have direct tv and at first had problem getting the portable satellite to lock into the a satellite signal. The portable dish kept looking for a second signal. After talking to direct tv, I found out the my direct tv reciver was set up to have two (2) cable connections (for two signals) at the rear of my reciver for HD reception. Once we went into the satellite setup procedures and set the receiver to only look for one satellite signal the portable dish locked in within a couple of minutes. The dish is expensive but well worth eliminating the frustration of trying to get a signal with the old dish |

Carryout automatic Satellite Antenna |

This thing is wonderful. No more hassle trying to point a dish with a compass and signal meter. Just hook it up and let it do the work. As long as it can "see" the southern sky it only takes a few minutes to run through it's checks and you're ready to watch TV. Some people have complained about having a 12v. power cord and the co-ax cable to lay out but that's not even half the hassle of a manually pointed dish. I've added an external 12v. plug to the RV and easily modified the external cable hook up to go around the powered off-air antenna so no cables need to be run through a window or door. Most RVs aren't satellite ready unless they are quite new from what I hear, but the mods are easy and can be found on the internet. Adventure RV had a good price and they ship very quickly. |

So easy to set up and use, even a cave man can do it! |
The Carryout Auto Satellite System GM 1518 is a great piece of equipment. Very easy to set up and use. I think its faster on satellite than our roof mounted auto unit. We have had to use it 3 out of 4 of our last campouts and have not found a single thing that I don't like about it. We have had several discussions with other users and have not heard a single complaint. We ordered it through an Factsinfostuff.com firm and they were very professional and quick with the delivery.
We have used the GM1518 tripod and highly recommend it |
